Frieda Jolande Barck ist eine vielseitige Sopranistin, die als Solistin regelmäßig auf renommierten Bühnen und Festivals in ganz Deutschland zu erleben ist. Einen besonderen Schwerpunkt bildet ihr Wirken im Bereich der Alten Musik, in dem sie sich früh einen Namen gemacht hat. Sie arbeitet regelmäßig mit der Lautten Compagney Berlin zusammen und gastierte u. a. an der Neuköllner Oper Berlin und am Theater Winterthur. Darüber hinaus konzertiert sie regelmäßig mit dem Ensemble1684 unter der Leitung von Gregor Meyer.

Einladungen führten sie zu bedeutenden Festivals wie dem Bachfest Leipzig, dem Mozartfest Würzburg und den Händel-Festspielen Halle. Mit Johann Sebastian Bachs Magnificat gab sie 2022 ihr vielbeachtetes Solodebüt in der Berliner Philharmonie.

Neben ihrer solistischen Tätigkeit widmet sich Frieda Jolande Barck intensiv dem Liedrepertoire. Sie wurde zu zahlreichen Liedfestivals in Deutschland und der Schweiz eingeladen und erhielt künstlerische Impulse in Meisterkursen bei Gerold Huber, Christiane Karg und Dorothea Röschmann.

Ihre künstlerische Arbeit wurde mehrfach ausgezeichnet: 2024 gewann sie den 1. Preis beim Internationalen Wettbewerb CantateBach! in Greifswald. Zudem ist sie Preisträgerin des Internationalen Gesangswettbewerbs der Kammeroper Schloss Rheinsberg, wo sie im Sommer 2022 die Hauptrolle in Bedřich Smetanas Die verkaufte Braut übernahm. Beim internationalen Gesangswettbewerb Triomphe de l’Art in Brüssel erhielt sie 2022 gemeinsam mit ihrer Pianistin Nanami Nomura zwei Preise. Als Liedduo gewannen sie 2023 beim 1. Josephine-Lang-Wettbewerb in Tübingen sowohl den 1. Preis als auch den Publikumspreis.

Darüber hinaus ist Frieda Jolande Barck Förderpreisträgerin der Internationalen Sächsischen Sängerakademie sowie Stipendiatin des Vielklang Festivals und des Vereins Yehudi Menuhin Live Music Now Berlin e. V. Von 2020 bis 2022 wurde sie mit dem Deutschlandstipendium gefördert.

Ihre Ausbildung absolvierte sie an der ‘Hochschule für Musik Hanns Eisler Berlin’ bei Britta Schwarz, wo sie 2021 ihren Masterabschluss mit Auszeichnung erlangte. Ein Auslandssemester führte sie an das ‘Royal Conservatoire of The Hague’ mit dem Schwerpunkt Alte Musik.

Frieda Jolande Barck is a versatile soprano who appears regularly as a soloist on renowned stages and at festivals throughout Germany. A particular focus of her artistic work is early music, a field in which she has established a strong profile. She collaborates frequently with the Lautten Compagney Berlin and has appeared, among others, at the Neuköllner Oper Berlin and Theater Winterthur. In addition, she performs regularly with Ensemble 1684 under the direction of Gregor Meyer.

She has been invited to major festivals such as the Bachfest Leipzig, the Mozartfest Würzburg, and the Handel Festival in Halle. In 2022, she made her widely acclaimed solo debut at the Berlin Philharmonie performing Johann Sebastian Bach’s Magnificat.

Alongside her solo work, Frieda Jolande Barck is deeply committed to the art song repertoire. She has been invited to numerous song festivals in Germany and Switzerland and has received artistic inspiration through masterclasses with Gerold Huber, Christiane Karg, and Dorothea Röschmann.

Her artistic work has been recognized with numerous awards. In 2024, she won First Prize at the International Competition CantateBach! in Greifswald. She is also a prizewinner of the International Singing Competition of the Kammeroper Schloss Rheinsberg, where she performed the leading role in Bedřich Smetana’s The Bartered Bride in the summer of 2022. At the international singing competition Triomphe de l’Art in Brussels, she received two prizes in 2022 together with her pianist Nanami Nomura. As a song duo, they were awarded both First Prize and the Audience Prize at the 1st Josephine Lang Competition in Tübingen in 2023.

Further distinctions include a sponsorship award from the International Saxon Singers’ Academy, as well as scholarships from the Vielklang Festival and Yehudi Menuhin Live Music Now Berlin e. V. From 2020 to 2022, she was a recipient of the Deutschlandstipendium.

She completed her studies at the ‘Hochschule für Musik Hanns Eisler Berlin’ with Britta Schwarz, earning her Master’s degree with distinction in 2021. She also spent a semester abroad at the ‘Royal Conservatoire of The Hague’, specializing in early music.
